Commitment to Training
We believe in the importance of training and ensuring that staff are suitably trained for the roles they carry out.
Each caree undergoes a training needs analysis and a training programme is developed to meet not only the needs of the employee and those of the company - but of our clients as well. These training needs are appraised and re-assessed annually.
Our commitment to training is supported by our investment in our own customised training suite which provides hands-on training to staff in a real-life environment.
Believed to be the first of its kind in Scotland, we have refurbished the premises next to our head office to exactly replicate a home interior. Complete with a living area, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom, the suite has been adapted to meet typical home care scenarios which affect older people, those who are confined to bed, or with physical disabilities or illnesses.
As part of our commitment to training we work with a number of charities that support specific illnesses, such as the MS Society, to provide our carers with a greater understanding of these conditions and how to provide the best care in the home.

An important advantage of our training suite is the ability to train our staff in a totally realistic ‘home’ environment, for example, where space might be restricted or where there are common household health and safety hazards. The suite is particularly effective for training in first aid and moving and handling.
